A capacity audience greeted the Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra at the annual Pembroke Rotary - Chevron concert at Folly Farm on Saturday evening.

This year's theme was 'Vive la France' and the exciting and varied programme brought a standing ovation from the capacity 580 crowd.

The concert raised over £6,000, which will benefit Cancer Research Wales, Barnados and other local and Rotary charities.

President of Pembroke Rotary Club, John Edwards, commented: "The evening was a resounding success, with a sell-out audience, and we would like to thank our sponsors Chevron for their continuing support."

Refinery manager Morgan Clark added: "This is my first 'Follies Prom' and we are delighted to support such a successful and exciting event, and of course the Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra as well."
