A four-month-old filly cob was rescued by emergency rescue teams on Wednesday afternoon after it had fallen from the cliff at Manorbier and was unable to reach the beach.
Tenby Coastguards were tasked to the incident between the Dak Cafe and East Moor Cliff just before 2 pm, along with both the all-weather and inshore lifeboats from the resort and a local vet.
After the vet assessed the foal, it was decided to swim the animal to Manorbier Beach. The foal was duly strapped alongside the ILB using ropes and 'towed' to the beach where it was brought safely ashore and reunited with its owner. The ALB stood- by during the incident.
