Green-fingered residents and business people are being encouraged to enter this year's prestigious Tenby in Bloom competition.
Tenby in Bloom Week takes place between July 3 and 7 and the organisers are hoping that everyone will pull out all the stops to ensure the town will be in full bloom for the 34th annual floral contest.
Judging day is on Wednesday, July 5, and has become tradition. The competition for floral displays has different classes for private houses, hotels/guest houses, public houses/restaurants, business, retail and educational premises and group projects.
There is also the Soroptimists Perpetual Trophy for the best shop window in the town centre, as judged by the committee during Tenby in Bloom Week, and the Serendipity Holdings Rose Bowl for the overall winner with the highest points. Winners and runners-up in all classes will receive certificates.
An entry form can be found elsewhere in this special feature and they must be returned to the De Valence, the Tourist Information Centre or Four Seasons Florist by July 1.
The prize-giving will take place at the Giltar Hotel on Thursday, July 20, at 10.30 am, with the president of Tenby in Bloom, the Mayor, Clr. Trevor Hallett, presenting the awards.
And don't forget, the popular Tenby in Bloom Flower Festival will be held at St. Mary's Church from July 6 to 10.
Always a great attraction for visitors and locals alike, the theme this year is 'Songs and Psalms of the Church'.
