Visitors to the National Trust's Colby Woodland Gardens at Amroth will be able to see the exhibition of talent put on by local flower arrangers on July 26 and 27.

Following the judging of the Colby Cup flower arrangers competition at 11 am on the 26th, the marquee will be open to all to enjoy the exhibits.

Local florists Jan Griffiths and Sarah Davies will be giving demonstrations each day and nurserymen from all over the county will be selling a selection of plants and shrubs in the meadow at Colby.

Children are invited to 'have-a-go' at making a miniature garden with prizes for all.

"We have had visiting children working with clay and making flower collages in the past and we are always amazed at how creative they are, and they really enjoy the challenge. The grown-ups can enjoy the gardens and chat with the stall holders whilst the children are kept busy," said Gill Farrow, manager at Colby.

Following the flower exhibition, there will be a Celtic Music evening on Friday, July 27, with tickets available from Colby or the Tudor Merchants House, Tenby, or by telephoning (01834) 811885 to reserve.
