After a very busy 2004, some members of the club met at the Buccaneer Inn to relax and reflect over a pub lunch. During the past year, the members had been involved in four flower festivals, in St. Julian's Church, Tenby Harbour, St. Issell's Church, Saundersfoot, St. Mary's Church, Tenby, and the biggest of all at Worcester Cathedral. In addition, they have a regular place at Christmas, Easter, Harvest and Remembrance Day in St. Mary's Church. Mmebers are very proud of the amount of money they have helped raise for charity and were delighted to be able to be in a position to purchase equipment for the Wales Air Ambulance, and give a cheque to the Rector of St. Mary's, Canon David Jenkins, of £100 for St. Julian's following their own small festival there. An invitation to help with the NAFAS Three Counties and South Wales Flower Festival in Abergavenny 2005 has been accepted, and three members of the club have been somewhat overwhelmed to submit for the Chelsea Flower Show. Although not successful in the final draw, they have been placed on a waiting list. Club chairman Mrs. Jan Griffiths said that the club could look back on a happy and successful year and wished everyone a lovely festive season. She reminded them that the first meeting for 2005 will be on January 10 at 1.30 pm, at St. Mary's Church House. New members are always welcome, and information can be obtained from any club member.
