The annual fly fishing competition in aid of local cancer charities, organised by the Pembrokeshire 'Muddlers' fly fishing group and White House Mill Trout Fishery, Lampeter Velfrey, was held recently. The day was again well supported by both anglers and sponsors and after a fun fishing day all achieved good suntans, cooled by copious amounts of liquid refreshment and a fine barbeque. The overall winner of the competition and the Richard Rogers Memorial Cup was his friend and well-known local angler, Andrew Jamieson. The day raised a magnificent sum of £800 and a cheque for that sum was presented to Joan Mathias representing the Paul Sartori Foundation. These annual competitions has now raised over £5,000 in recent years for local cancer charities and the organisers would like to thank all the many people who make these days such a success.
