A Mini tour of Pembrokeshire and West Wales took place over the Bank Holiday weekend to mark the car’s 60th birthday.
The trip organised by Bob Holt from Burton on Trent and fellow Mini enthusiasts from all over the UK, including Manchester, Doncaster, Crewe, Cheltenham, plus one from the Netherlands started from Gwbert, Cardigan before heading via Strumble Head to St Davids, then past St Brides and Broadhaven to Tenby, where those taking part also stayed overnight.
“Firstly myself and some friends are turning 50 this year and as such, as we are all Classic Mini enthusiasts, I planned a trip in the Minis to visit my favourite part of the UK which is Pembrokeshire, to coincide with the vehicle’s 60th birthday on August 26.
“Tenby is my favorite place in the UK and I wanted to share my love of the area with some friends from the Mini community so planned this trip.
“We caused a bit of a stir driving through the town centre (Minis have that effect!) and a queue of people wanting to take photos when we got to the harbour.
“We stayed for a few hours as we were all looking forward to some fish and chips, then headed back to our hotel in town, the Heywood Spa Hotel.
“The following day we went off to Barafundel beach and Freshwater West before calling back into Saundersfoot, and ending the trip in Brecon on the Thursday,” added Bob.
