The Warren Church Trust will be staging its first ever Flower Festival from tomorrow (Saturday) to Wednesday, June 6, ending with Songs of Praise at 7 pm.
The theme is going to be on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, highlighting events from her reign in numerous arrangements. The church promises to look stunning and is well worth a visit.
Opening hours are daily from 11 am to 6 pm. Light refreshments (filled rolls and a selection of cakes) and tea/coffee will be served.
The festival will be signposted from Pembroke, but for reassurance, the sat nav reference is SA71 5HS.
St. Mary's Warren is an ancient church on the Castlemartin peninsula, with its distinctive steeple serving as a landmark for sailors. It was restored in 1988 through joint British and German efforts and now stands as a lasting symbol of reconciliation between nations. Despite the changes since the end of the Cold War, the cessation of training by the Federal German Army in 1996 and the recent dramatic restructuring of the British Army, the Warren Church Trust continues its work as a unique interdenominational Christian centre.
