Tenby Project participants were kept busy in the morning running a coffee morning and raffle – and having a chat with everyone who came. Thanks to Toni for donating some of her jewellery for raffle prizes, and to everyone for coming!
There will be another coffee morning today, April 11 between 11 am to 12 noon and everyone is welcome. Tea or coffee and biscuits for £1 and a raffle ticket for £1, all money raised goes to help the Tenby Project keep going.
After toasties or omelette for lunch, the room was rearranged for an online training by St John’s Ambulance. At 1.30 everyone was ready to start, and Wayne came on to Teams, and on to the wall of Augustus Place. He explained about DRABC, look for Danger (any broken glass?), look for a Response (are they awake?), open the Airway (lean the head back a bit), check for Breathing (look for the chest rising and falling), and check Circulation (look for bleeding). Everyone had a go at putting people into recovery position, and learned about CPR (resuscitation). Wayne explained about how to help someone who is choking, who is bleeding and who has burned themselves. It was a very interesting afternoon, and at some point in the future, Wayne is going to come with a resusci-Annie so everyone can practice doing chest compressions.
This afternoon, April 11 from 1.30 pm, Prem and Rishi are coming to lead some relaxing meditation and chanting. Everyone is welcome to join the Tenby Project at Augustus Place for this lovely session.
