Tenby once again played host to the two-yearly Wales fire conference organised by the Mid and West Wales Fire Brigade on Friday.

In addition to the Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown, who gave the welcoming address, guest speakers included Edwina Hart, Minister for Finance, Local Government and Communities with the National Assembly; Ms. Valerie Shawcross, Chair of the London Fire Emergency Planning Authority; Brian Robinson, Commissioner for Fire and Emergency Planning with the London Fire Emergency Planning Authority; Mr. William Peterson, Fire Chief, City of Plano Fire Department, Texas; and Mr. Andy Gilchrist, general secretary of the Fire Brigades Union.
