Sir,
Firstly, on behalf of all the boys at Tenby Fire Station I would like to thank you all for your help towards last year's fireman's carnival, and without the help of people such as yourselves this successful event would not be possible.
As you are aware the proceeds of this go towards the National Benevolent Fund for fire fighters and their families in time of distress.
Tenby locals and visitors have been enjoying the summer carnival for many years and I am in the process of trying to trace how far back the carnival dates, but with no luck so far.
If anyone has any record or information please contact the fire station or one of the boys, this may possibly be one of the longest running carnivals to date.
Secondly we appeal to you all and ask for your support in this year's summer carnival on Wednesday, August 7, and hope you will by entering a float in our procession, not forgetting our walking classes.
Support from you makes this carnival successful. If you would like to enter a float and you need transport please contact the station as we still have a few floats available. And if there is anyone out there who could supply a vehicle please don't hesitate to contact us as we will be very careful.
Once again thank you very much for your continuous support and long may it continue for the sake of the visitors and us.
