A tragic incident occurred when a thirty-seven-year-old Tenby man was killed in a road accident in Penarth.

He was Mr. Mansel Thomas, the son of the late Mr and Mrs Jack Thomas.

Mr. Thomas was driving his car alone when his car hit a tree.

A member of Tenby Borough Council was forced to withdraw a cheap tactics comment.

Clr. Peter Osborne alleged at a meeting of the finance and general purposes committee that some of his fellow councillors had used “a cheap way” of trying to get popular opinion on their side when they spoke at the previous week’s swimming pool meeting.

A former mayor, Clr. Chris Jones, warned Tenby Borough Council that they were in danger of being regarded as weak, vacillating and irresponsible by the Welsh Office and Whitehall.
