Pembrokeshire Water Board pegged their rate at 2s 6d for the sixth year and once again the standard metered charge of 3s 6d was unchanged.

Tenby should receive help from the Ministry of Public Buildings and Works and from the National Trust to maintain its ancient town walls and the remains of the castle. That view was expressed by Clr. Hector Lee at a meeting of the borough council’s general purposes committee.

Householders in Narberth Rural District would have to pay an extra 1d in the £ rates. Occupiers of mixed herediments would find their rate had gone up by 3d, while the general rate struck - 14s in the £ - was an increase of 6d.

When arranging these matches, the fixture secretary had no idea of the strength of the opposition - unfortunately, they turned out to be two quite strong sides.
