Narberth RDC were told that they blundered in buying a house in Saundersfoot and then converting it into two flats. So they decided to put the property up for sale.

As a result of their success in the Welsh Secondary Schools Under 16 weightlifting championships, held at Llandybie, two Narberth schoolboys, Fred Jenkins and John Roberts, became Welsh champions and the Narberth team set up eight new records.

Saundersfoot Chamber of Trade came of age and one of the ways it had celebrated the occasion was by publishing its first ever holiday guide. It was a worthy first effort of 80 pages, nearly 60 of which were taken up by local advertisers. A total of 15,000 copies had been printed.
