A very successful Christmas coffee morning was held at Tenby Community Learning Centre on Monday morning with plenty of festive merriment.

The event opened by Mayor, Clr. Tony Brown, was organised by the staff of Learning Pembrokeshire and Library Services, based at the venue.

The Tenby Learning Pembrokeshire singing group and Learn Welsh choir performed a variety of carols, led enthusiastically by Sarah Benbow and Tomos Hopkins, with the audience merrily joining in. Tenby Library held a book sale and one of the pupils from the Pembrokeshire Learning Centre freshly made and served, warm salted caramel brownies.

Admission was free, but £160 was raised in donations received for refreshments, given to Paul Sartori, a local charity selected on the day, from nominations received from people attending the event.

“It was a really upbeat event,” said the Mayor.
