Fundraising has started in earnest in the run-up to the second Saundersfoot Harbourside Christmas Carol Concert with tickets going on sale for the Grand Christmas Raffle in aid of Bone Cancer Research Trust. This, now annual event, was inspired by Daniel Bridle, of Saundersfoot, who sadly lost his battle with bone cancer in 2014 at the tender age of 18.

Bone Cancer Research Trust have set themselves a challenge to raise £1.1M during 2017 which will ensure funding is available for more research, information, awareness and support for individuals and ultimately, that more lives can be saved. The amount currently raised is £747,863.87 and with the continued support and generosity of the local community and various local and national organisations we can help them not only reach but surpass that total.

Organisations who have donated prizes for the raffle include Beavers Retreat, Blue Lagoon, The Boat House, Carew Inn, Christkindle, County Financial Consultants, Crafty Frog Wool Shop, Jill and John Donnachie, Edwards Holidays, Folly Farm, Frosts, Giltar Hotel, Glamorgan CCC, Heywoods Butchers, Labels for Less, Lawn Tennis Association, Little and Large Bites, Manor Park Wildlife Park, Susan and Brian McKehon, Mermaid Gift Shop, National Express, Ocean Hair, Periwinkle Tea Room and Pottery, Royal Mint, Royal Oak, Sainsburys, Scarlets, Shoe Box, Silver Lily, St. Brides Spa Hotel, Tenby Book Shop, Tesco, Tojaz, Upton Farm, Vincent Davies and Vue Cinema and heartfelt thanks go out to them for their support.

The Raffle Draw will take place after the Saundersfoot Harbourside Christmas Carol Concert, scheduled for 6.30 pm on Thursday, December 21, in the Saundersfoot Sailing Club, where there will be free mince pies and an opportunity to buy hot and cold drinks, supported by a well-stocked bar!
