Despite a cold and windy evening, family and friends of residents at The Glebe, Tenby, joined in with all the festivities hosted by Arleen and Richard Westmacott. Nine children and one brave adult put on a show called 'Where are you Christmas?' The show took the children back 100 years to an old-fashioned Christmas, which featured socks filled with tangerines and sugar mice and decorations made from paper chains. Performing for the second year running were: Sydney and Maddi Vickery, Nathan and Chelsea Newell, Becca Luly, Harry Goforth, Adam and Rachel Rees, Kristian Westmacott and the only adult, Suzie Woods as the Christmas elf. There were mince pies, mulled wine and a raffle, lots of Christmas cheer and carol singing. There was even a surprise guest, when a dog came from nowhere while children were singing Little Donkey. The words were soon changed to 'Little Doggie', which had everyone roaring with laughter. Last Saturday, some of the children visited Withybush Hospital to present the cheque to Jackie Broadhurst. The money was for the children's ward and they spent an enjoyable hour at the hospital seeing where it would be spent. Arleen would like to say a big thank you to Eileen Beddis, Elen Sandu, Suzie Woods, Alison Luly and the Giltar Hotel for all their help and donations towards the raffle. Also, thanks to everyone who supported the event and to the children who took part.
