Meurig James, Whitland, chairman of the Pembrokeshire (RWAS) committee, presents David Beynon, of Haverfordwest, with his scroll having been made a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Societies of the UK.

The FRAgS award, which originated in 1970, is in recognition of an outstanding contribution made by an individual to UK agricultural and land-based industries.

Now retired, Carmarthen born Mr. Beynon was an agricultural lecturer with the Pembrokeshire County Council and at the Pembrokeshire College. He was also a Welsh language tutor.

A past official and President of the North Pembrokeshire Farmers Club he also held office as president of the Pembrokeshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs.
