I would take this opportunity to congratulate Tenby on staging a fantastic event on Sunday, July 28.

The Tenby 10k was well-organised by Lindy and crew, well-supported by both runners and spectators and was a credit to all those who turned out on a gloriously hot summer's day.

I would especially like to congratulate the huge team from Saundersfoot CP School; the mums, dads, pupils and staff really pulled out all the stops to enter scores of runners, supported by the equally enthusiastic team FOSS.

With so much in the press which is negative and disheartening, it was a pleasure to watch so many run to raise money for many worthy causes.

I am proud to be a governor at such a thoughtful and considerate school.
