Tenby's RNLI inshore lifeboat and the resort's coastguard rescue team were called out on Monday evening following a report that a person on a surfboard and one in the water off Monkstone Point could possibly be in difficulty.

On scene, the casualties were found to be two kayakers fishing off Monkstone and not in difficulty.

The shout was reclassified as a false alarm with good intent.
