As we launch our new community 'paper, the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Observer, we thought you would like to know more about the people who serve and live in your community. Here we have the first in a new series called Face of the Week. We hope you enjoy it!

Name: Jon Williams

Born and brought up: Born in Cardiff, brought up in Aberdare and Saundersfoot.

Education: Greenhill School, Pembrokeshire College and Loughborough University.

Current occupation: General manager of Pembroke Castle

An average working day: I arrive at 8.30 am, I quickly check that the castle is ready for our visitors, meet our caretaker, shop and café staff. Then I could be doing anything from planning our events and promoting the castle to helping out in the shop and café. I normally finish after locking the castle at around 6 pm.

Favourite part of your job: I love working with enthusiastic people, and having variety at work. Every day is different and it is never boring. The biggest thrill of the job for me is in delivering events that people enjoy.

Hobbies: I like to relax by walking my dog Jay, and occasionally enjoy a round of golf. When I can, I also enjoy scuba diving.

Family: My wife Sian and I have been together for 15 years. We married four years ago and have a beautiful daughter Carys who is a year old this week.
