Tenby fair Tenby
We look at you with pride
Elegant Georgian buildings,
Sandy beaches,
And scenic harbourside.
I walk up the High Street
And I suddenly stop dead
For across the road,
A shop fascia
Bright yellow and red.
Why did the council
Allow this eyesore
And horror of horrors
Will there be more?
I'm sure visitors
Will walk up the street,
And stop, dumfounded
Then beat a hasty retreat.
They'll tell their friends,
And neighbours too
"I wouldn't go to Tenby
If I was you!"
So come on planners
Order the fascia
To come down
And restore us to
Our lovely town.
