An ‘Extraordinary Meeting’ of Pembrokeshire County Council will be held next month, after a Notice of Motion of no confidence in the Local Authority’s leader was submitted.

The meeting on Thursday, May 18 will consider the Notice of Motion of no confidence in PCC’s leader Cllr David Simpson, which was submitted by Cllr Jamie Adams on behalf of the Independent Group.

The NoM submitted to Chief Executive Will Bramble was signed by the following county councillors: John Davies, Alan Dennison, Brian Hall, Delme Harries, Mike James, Michael John, Peter Morgan, Elwyn Morse, Huw Murphy, Reg Owens, Mel Phillips, Shon Rees, Vanessa Thomas, Anji Tinley, Iwan Ward, and Simon Wright.

Any nominations for election to the post of Leader must be received by Friday 5th May.

The Extraordinary Meeting will take place at County Hall, Haverfordwest at 10 am on May 18, and will be webcast as usual.
