INDIAN mythology came to life in Narberth last week in 'Evoking Rasa', a brilliantly colourful mix of storytelling, music and dance by the acclaimed dance company, India Dance Wales. Telling the story of the creation and interaction of sound, words, music and emotion, from the first sound, 'Om', the Lord Shiva, the goddess Kali and their devotees danced in the traditional Indian dance form, Bharata Natyam. The audience of all ages was held spellbound throughout the evening. The exotic, vividly coloured costumes, the passion-filled performances of the dancers and the live music - of a very different kind to that more usually heard at the Queen's Hall -were certainly very well received.
