A new and exciting inter-church initiative which aims to reach young people through contemporary worship will be launched at the Pater Hall, Pembroke Dock, on Saturday, November 1, at 7 pm.
Known as 'Pembrokeshire Worships,' the initiative has already grabbed the attention of various churches of differing streams and hopes to attract more and more in the coming months.
"I am thrilled to see this creative attempt to bring contemporary Christian worship to our county," said Rob James, of Pembroke.
"This will hopefully be the first of many such gatherings which in time will move around the county. The evening will seek to be faithful to scripture yet contemporary in feel and will hopefully reach many for whom church seems a put-off. We have an exciting God and much to sing about and so I hope lots of folk will join us on the 1st."
Speaking on behalf of 'Pembrokeshire Worships,' Jerby Djkoto said: "We are expecting musicians and friends from as far afield as Coventry, France and Ghana to be joining us that night, and tickets are free of charge. We hope the music will suit all age groups and, although there will be no creche, little children are welcome to join us.
"We are getting very excited about our new venture. It has meant lots of planning, meetings, and, generally, hard work. God has graciously provided us with the resources and skills that we need to put on these events. It doesn't matter if you are a Christian already, or you have never been to a church. We know that all who attend will be very welcome and we pray that you will enjoy the evening."
