There was excellent support for the annual dinner of the Pembroke County branch of the National Farmers Union held this year at the Begelly Arms Hotel.
The guest speaker was Lancashire farmer, Mr. Johnny Ball, who organises the NFU's 'roadshow' which travels the country visiting town and city festivals and a range of agricultural events effectively promoting British farm products to the general public.
He toasted 'Agriculture and the Pembrokeshire NFU' to which Mr. Meurig Raymond, the branch delegate to the Union's National Council responded.
'Our guests' was proposed by Mr. Alan Prichard, county branch chairman, to which Mrs. Karen Jones, chairman of Pembrokeshire Young Farmers Clubs, replied.
Amongst the guests were representatives of the Pembrokeshire County Council, Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society, Young Farmers Clubs, The Women's Food and Farming Union, together with elected members of Parliament and the Welsh Assembly Government.
