Excellent customer feedback at three visitor sites managed by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority has earned a certificate coveted among the business community.
Carew Castle and Tidal Mill, Castell Henllys Iron Age Village and Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre in St. Davids have all been awarded the 2016 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence following large numbers of positive reviews on the world-renowned travel site.
Castell Henllys Iron Age Village manager Rhonwen Owen said: “The staff at all three sites are really thrilled to have achieved the TripAdvisor certificate - it’s our first time at Castell Henllys, and second time round for Carew Castle and Oriel y Parc.
“The bar is set high; to qualify, we have to maintain at least a four out of five review rating and have a minimum number of reviews, so it’s a really authentic statement from real visitors that you’re providing a great service.
“It also helps us get feedback from visitors which will enable us to hopefully improve future visits.”
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail, which is managed by the National Park Authority with funding from Natural Resources Wales, has also been awarded a Certificate of Excellence.
Heather Leisman, TripAdvisor’s vice-president of industry marketing, said: “With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honours hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travellers.
“This recognition, from the world’s largest travel site, helps travellers identify businesses that regularly deliver great service.”
The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. TripAdvisor-branded sites make up the largest travel community in the world, reaching 340 million unique monthly visitors and 350 million reviews and opinions covering 6.5 million accommodations, restaurants and attractions.
