Pembrokeshire estate agents will be putting their best feet forward in aid of a Tenby father-of-two stricken with Motor Neurone Disease. Thirty-seven-year-old Gareth Scotcher is confined to a wheelchair having been diagnosed with the incurable disease three years ago. FBM are a well-known Pembrokeshire estate agents, and members of the Home Sale Network, and tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday, staff from their six branches, with their families and friends, will be taking on the challenge of a sponsored walk of the 186-mile Pembrokeshire coast path in aid of the Gareth Scotcher Trust Fund. The coast path runs from St. Dogmaels in the north of the county to Amroth in the south. The walk is part of a series of fund-raising events being held by FBM throughout the county, culminating in a charity dinner and auction at Narberth's Plas Hyfryd Hotel on October 5. Dominic Subbiani, a partner in FBM, said: "I've known Gareth since I was six or seven. "We were schoolmates in Tenby Junior School and, later on, Greenhill Comprehensive. "What has happened to Gareth is very close to home as his daughter is about the same age as my own little girl. "Motor Neurone Disease is a hideous thing and the speed in which it has affected Gareth has been frightening. "It's particularly terrible to see someone who was such an active sportsman in such a situation. "Our aim is to raise as much money as possible, which will hopefully make a bit of a difference as far as Gareth's family are concerned."
