UK Government officials have visited Pembroke Dock to discuss the future of floating offshore wind, exploring opportunities for investment, job creation, and community benefits.

Marine Energy Wales welcomed officials from the Department for Business and Trade and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero to Pembroke Dock.

Developers, supply chain businesses and local stakeholders joined a roundtable to discuss what’s needed to scale FLOW in the Celtic Sea. They established that industry needs certainty (early test and demonstration projects are key to unlocking investment), jobs, and long-term opportunities for coastal communities.

The visit followed UK Government discussions in Cardiff on FLOW and the newly launched Industrial Strategy – aligning closely with the 2025–26 Welsh Government’s Offshore Wind Action Plan.
