Santa’s Post-Box is now out and ready. Tenby Library has seasonal writing paper, but you can also bring in letters on your own paper. Just don’t forget to include your name or Santa won’t know who to reply to!
Last posting date is Tuesday, December 12, and the elves have promised that replies will be ready for collection from Monday 18.
Baby Rhyme Time is on Mondays 10:30-11am during term-time, with songs and stories for pre-schoolers and their adults. The last one in December will be on the 18th, and will restart in the New Year on January 8.
If you want more Welsh-language engagement for your little ones, there’s Welsh Rhyme Time on the first Friday of the month in term-time, starting from Friday 1 at 10.15am.
On Friday 8, the regular Lego club becomes a Lego and Christmas Crafts session, hosted by the Family Information Service. It’s at the usual time of 3pm-4.30pm, and as usual there is no booking needed, just drop in and stay as long or as short a time as you like. If you are coming by car, get a parking permit from library staff. Lego Club is on every Friday that the library is open, throughout the year.
The Adult Lego group will meet as usual every Thursday, 3pm-4.30pm in December; however, on Thursday 14 there will be Family Christmas Crafts session instead.
On Monday 11 at 3.30pm the Library and Community Learning Centre are jointly hosting a coffee afternoon; there will be hot drinks, mince pies, and music from the choir.
Library borrowers benefit from an extended Christmas loan period in December; this runs from Monday 4 to Monday 11 inclusive, with books due back up to five weeks later on Monday, January 8.
The warm coat rail is back; if you need a coat, help yourself. If you want to donate, please make sure the coat is clean, in good condition, and all buttons and zips are fully functional. All coats are welcomed, but especially men’s coats. Talk to staff before donating because if the rail is full they can store them until there is space.
Last day open before Christmas is Saturday 23, 10am-12.30pm; the the library is closed throughout the Christmas period and reopens at 10am on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
