Tenby Male Choir is delighted to announce its Summer Programme for 2022, celebrating their return to singing and fundraising after two years.

Most of the concerts will be held in Tenby, at St Mary’s or St Johns churches with other fundraisers at Penally and Pembroke. Weather permitting the choir shall also be performing at outdoor barbecues in Cresselly and Lawrenny Quays, before ending the season with a joint gala concert with Serendipity Ladies Choir.

“The Covid pandemic has been challenging for choirs everywhere. Airborne infections made singing potentially hazardous to others, whilst many choristers were vulnerable to serious illness through their age and related health conditions, particularly before vaccinations were available,” said Mike Roch from the choir.

“Members of Tenby Male Choir began practising again late last summer, but it has taken many months for us to rebuild our numbers and our voices after the unavoidable interruption caused. We have focussed our efforts on a core repertoire of familiar songs and shall be ready to perform again in a few weeks time.

“We’ve very much missed being able to make our contribution to the life of the area and its visitors through making music and fund raising, and can’t wait to sing for Tenby once again.

Admission will be £10 per head with Concessions £8. Doors open for most concerts at 7.30 pm for 8 pm starts unless otherwise stated. Further details, including any unavoidable alterations to the Programme, will be announced via http://Facebook.com/TenbyMaleChoir and the website http://TenbyMaleChoir.org
