Pembroke & Monkton Local History Society will hold the last meeting of its current 2022/23 programme on Saturday, May 13 with a Coffee Morning and Talk in Pembroke Town Hall,

The event will be during the Festival Week in Pembroke organised by Pembroke Town Team and which runs until May 14.

Speaker will be Mark Muller, with the subject of his talk - ‘Slave owners in Pembrokeshire and their legacies’ and he will be discussing the effects of slavery on this country and this county.

Doors will open from 10 am for coffee and an opportunity to visit the Museum and Council Chamber, which are situated on the first floor of the Town Hall – a lift is available for disabled access.

There will be an additional exhibition in the Council Chamber. Following this, at 11 am, the talk will take place in the George Lewis Room.

Everyone is welcome to attend - you do not have to be a member - and entry is free.
