Pembroke Farmers Club was delighted to welcome back visitors to this year’s show at Lamphey which was a huge success with the sun coming out during the day.  Everybody had a brilliant day out.

There were displays by the Quack Pack, Black Mountain Falconry,  as well as a machinery demonstration in the afternoon which proved a huge draw with hundreds of people watching around the ring. South Pembrokeshire Young Farmers were also at the show and welcomed many visitors to their marquee. There were good entries in both the horse section as well as the other livestock classes; the Dog Show proved very popular in the afternoon.  The Vintage section put on a great display in the event ring and the Classic Cars also returned in good numbers.  Cresselly Hunt also paraded the Hounds in the afternoon and invited children into the ring to meet the hounds.

A display of entries from the members of the public made for a wonderful exhibit in the Domestic and Horticulture tent at the 2022 Pembroke Town & Country Show at Lamphey. The committee was pleased to see the tent so full of talent after the last two years without the show. Although the tent was smaller and there were no handicraft and cookery sections due to Covid restrictions, there was an array of entries in the childrens section, photography and art, floral art and as always an amazing display of all things horticultural. All who attended agreed it was a “fantastic exhibit” and those who entered thoroughly enjoyed taking part again.

Senedd Member Samuel Kurtz said:

“Small shows such as this are a great opportunity for the rural community to get together, joined by a number of charities, businesses and other organisations. One such organisation which I’ve been involved with a lot over the last 15 years is the Young Farmers movement, so it was great to see South Pembs YFC out in force on their stand. Huge congratulations to the show team for organising yet another brill show, and making its return after the pandemic such a success.”

On behalf of chair Mr J Purser, president Mr M Colley and everyone involved, Pembroke Farmers Club trusts that everyone had a great day out.  Next year’s show will be held on Wednesday 2, 2023 and the organisers look forward seeing everyone in 2023.
