Amroth Parish Hall, Summerhill, holds free Friday Film Nights on the second Friday of the month. The next film, showing on Friday, July 11, is ‘Mr Burton’.

Mr Burton (12A) is a British biographical drama film about the early life of Welsh actor Richard Burton. A moving, untold story of how wild Port Talbot schoolboy Rich Jenkins - son of a boozy miner - with the encouragement of English teacher Philip Burton, became one of the biggest stars Wales has ever produced.

Directed by Marc Evans, written by Tom Bullough and Josh Hyams, the film stars Harry Lawtey as Mr Burton, alongside Toby Jones and Lesley Manville.

Supported by the National Lottery, the screening offers free admission and refreshments, with donations appreciated.

Doors open at 7pm for tea and coffee, with the film starting at 7.30.
