Alun’s show which features a special collection of portraits and stories of the people of Tenby, also sees contributions from Mick Brown, Graham Hughes, Sharron Harris, poet Nicky Lloyd, actor Josh Richards, and the community of Tenby who helped make this project possible.

Award-winning Alun has worked as a photographer since 1986, and from the first time he picked up a camera he has been photographing the people of his home town.

For this project, Alun set out to photograph the heart and soul of the seaside town in an old-fashioned way, with inspiration coming from his previous show at the museum, which centred on the harbour community.

The ‘Made in Tenby’ project aims to promote community cohesion and all those making a contribution; to compare and contrast those scenes of 30 years ago with the present day, celebrating what remains.

This exhibition brings together some of his original photographs with new images and recordings of the Tenby community.

His methodology references the origins of photography, utilising large format cumbersome cameras, though not the speediest of processes it enables him to create images with a timeless yet contemporary quality.

The show which also features video and voice recordings is open until November 11.

A special ‘Made in Tenby’ talk will take place on Thursday, October 19, at 7 pm, featuring Alun and Sharon Harris to discuss Tenby's influence on their lives and careers.

It is £2 per person. To book call 01834 842809.
