The Torch Theatre in Milford Haven will be screening an array of independent films to suit all tastes up until mid April, thanks to grant funding from Ffilm Cymru Wales.

The aim of the Wales wide grant scheme is to support independent film exhibitors across the country to give audiences exciting and inspiring cinematic experiences.

The project at the Torch is called Community Choices and will bring audiences together to enjoy bold films that inspire and excite.

The titles were chosen by audiences who were invited to attend programming workshops to select a range of films that demonstrate a commitment to Welsh language, environmental sustainability and the breaking down of economic barriers.

Chelsey Gillard, Torch Theatre’s Artistic Director said: “We asked you, the people of Pembrokeshire, what films you wanted to see at the Torch and we listened. We have a terrific variety of independent films for you to see.

“We are very grateful to Ffilm Cymru Wales for the funding to allow us to show these wonderful films and we can’t wait to offer audiences a warm Theatr Torch welcome.”

The independent films to be screened at the Torch Theatre during March include Born Free on Wednesday 4th at 2.15pm; Earth on Thursday, March 12 at 11am; Sinners on Sunday, March 15 at 7pm; Booksmart on Sunday, March 22 at 2pm; and Gwledd (The Feast) on Friday March 27 at 8pm.
