The inaugural Tenby International Music Festival will take place this summer in the seaside town, welcoming artists from all over the world - alongside incredible Welsh talent.
The Festival will be held from Thursday, July 31 to Saturday, August 2.
“As proud Welsh musicians, we have long dreamt of creating a festival here that's rooted in the community and reaches out to the wider world,” said Welsh violinist Thomas Mathias, who along with Tenby pianist Dominic Ciccotti, is directing the Tenby International Music Festival.
“Our aim is to bring international artists to Tenby and share music from across the world with the local community. By bringing international musicians to Tenby, the Festival will offer an eclectic mix of concerts, suited to all ages and people. Our aim is to be as accessible as possible to the public.
“From July 31st to August 2nd, we'll be welcoming artists from Japan, America, Scotland, and England - alongside incredible Welsh talent - for three days of concerts at St Mary's Church, workshops for children at Tenby Museum, and the launch of a brand-new international composer academy in collaboration with the Wyoming International Chamber Music Festival, USA.
“We are delighted to be partnered with the Wyoming International Chamber Music Festival, located in Laramie (USA). Through this partnership, we will promote works of Wales and the USA in both festivals, and look to foster a strong relationship for years to come with our friends across the pond,” he added.
