ENGAGE with history at this year’s Tenby Tudor Weekend on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22.

As well as being home to the National Trust Tudor Merchant’s House, Tenby’s part in ensuring that there would be a Tudor dynasty is legendary. During the Wars of the Roses, it is said that the young Henry Tudor, the future Henry VII, was hidden in the house of the mayor, Thomas White, near St Mary’s Church after being besieged at Pembroke Castle - and escaped to the harbour through an underground tunnel network.

Tenby Tudor Weekend 2025 includes talks, a guided walk, a short play, early music and a quiz, as well as an opportunity try some Tudor crafts and cooking.

The provisional programme of events on Saturday, June 21 is as follows:

11am-3.30pm – Tudor Painting demonstration by Terry John at the Tudor Merchant’s House.

11am – A Guided Walk of Tudor Tenby by Tudor Thomas. Meet outside Premier Inn, White Lion Street. This event is £5 per person.
