THE summer concert season at Burnett’s Hill Chapel, Martletwy, continues with a visit from Celtic-tinged bluegrass quartet Taff Rapids.

This talented foursome plays bluegrass with a difference – it’s ‘blŵgras’, a transatlantic sound blending American string band music with Celtic folk traditions.

Firmly established as festival favourites, Darren Eedens (banjo), Sion Russell Jones (guitar), David Grubb (fiddle), and Clem Saynor (double bass) have been thrilling audiences across north America, Europe and the UK.

Their evening concert at Burnett’s Hill on Wednesday, August 19 will feature a lively mix of tunes and original songs in both Welsh and English, all in the band’s unique blŵgras style.
