A firm which has been involved in running entertainment venues for over 20 years is interested in partnering Tenby Town Council in the operation of the town's De Valence Pavilion.
At Tuesday night's meeting of the town council, correspondence was received from Steve Bines, of SUB Live, stating that the firm would be able to give its experience in helping run events at the venue in Upper Frog Street.
"I feel that this would give people confidence that the venue would be able to provide the right balance of events to both serve the community and remain financially viable," wrote Mr. Bines.
Councillors agreed that it would be worthwhile for the firm to give a presentation to them.
The town council is currently considering offers of purchase for the De Valence building from pub chain JD Weatherspoon, while the owners of local aquarium Silent World are also interested in leasing the facility for an all-weather attraction.
Another proposal to lease the hall and the balcony areas of the De Valence for conversion into a two-screen cinema has also been put to the town council.
In the meantime, the council, who are in the process of forming a new Trust to run the venue, this week confirmed that they will take a hiring for the building from the South Pembrokeshire Hunt for their Autumn ball in November, along with a Battle of the DJs type night in December.
Activity Wales also want to hire the facility for an Iron Man Wales meeting in August, while an entertainments company were also in talks for comedy duo Canon and Ball to appear at the De Valence on August Bank Holiday Sunday.
