Re. ‘Island whim’ (July 8).

A lot of my family and friends have been so harassed that their hair has turned completely grey.

I would love to be one of the lucky ones who lead peaceful lives on islands such as Anglesey or Brownsea.

On Caldey, like the hermits of old, we would be grateful if the good island folk would bring us food to sustain us, so, at least we would continue to exist, instead of being endangered within a grey hair’s breadth of our lives.
