Eighteen members of the Pembrokeshire Ramblers Association met at Tenby Railway Station on Saturday to enjoy a seven-mile walk. After heading through the town, stopping to view the new Lifeboat Station, the group branched north on footpaths past the interesting Aquarium, which is housed in an old church. The path crossed the main road at New Hedges, before following a woodland path through Knightson Bottom. Passing under the railway line, the walk crossed fields to North and South Astridge, before turning south on to the Gumfreston road. The walkers then crossed Kiln Park, admiring the old limestone kilns, before emerging on South Beach in bright sunshine. This Sunday there will be a short walk in the Sandy Haven area starting at 11 am at Monk Haven car park (Grid reference 831 067). The leader is Chris Morris, tel. 01646 697543. On Saturday, July 12, there will be a medium walk in the Eastern Preselis starting from Waldo Memorial car park (Grid reference 135 303). The leader is Derek Burr, tel. 01994 419263.
