The wildlife zoo just outside Tenby is now home to a Sumatran Tiger named Terima. She arrived in August and is settling well in to her new home. She is a female of the critically endangered species.

Tiger populations are in crisis and numbers are rapidly dwindling (there may be as few as 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild), so Anna and her team are making a vital move towards conserving this species.

Along with the new addition, the zoo is already home to three Southern White Rhino, one of which is Europe’s second only artificially inseminated Rhino, so he is a very special boy.

The zoo has five unique walkthroughs which offer a walking safari immersive experience. Wander with the Wallabies, Linger with the Lemurs and new for 2015 Hoppington Green with Giant Flemish Rabbits!

The zoo is open 363 days of the year from 10 am (closing times vary during the year).
