The experimental traffic order, which introduced one-way traffic on Tenby's White Lion Street, is to be cancelled from 8 am tomorrow (Saturday).
A two-way traffic flow will return to the street from that day. The pedestrianisation scheme will continue as planned until August 31.
• The special helpline (01834 843203) set up for anyone experiencing transport-related difficulties under the pedestrianisation experiment, continues to operate.
• Pembrokeshire County Council recognises that some residents require special help and it is stressed that the authority will not compromise health and safety needs.
• Therefore, if any resident or visitor finds themself in a position where they urgently need to travel for the sake of their health and safety, and where a call to the helpline would exacerbate the problem, then the journey can be made with due regard to the pedestrianisation in place. Speeds should be limited to five mph.
• In all other circumstances, pre-authorisation of any journey is required.
