I was interested in Roscoe Howells's letter regarding the Emperor of Abyssinia. He is in fact mistaken in thinking that the Emperor and family did not visit Caldey.
As a child, I clearly remember seeing them, all dressed in colourful robes, getting aboard 'The Bunty', which they owned and my father skippered. I still own two clocks belonging to 'The Bunty', which the Emperor gave to my father when the boat was sold.
