This Easter Sunday, we held a church breakfast, where everyone came early and we all enjoyed a buffet-style breakfast. After breakfast and fellowship, the service began with a time of praise and worship led by Deborah Fiddy. There was a good crowd of people, and the praise and worship was greatly enjoyed by all, especially 'Worthy is the Lamb', which was particularity powerful.
There was a strong presence of the Lord in the meeting, and as Pastor Jonathan came up to deliver the word, he felt prompted to pray for those with arthritis. There have been several testimonies of healing since!
After this, Pastor Jonathan spoke on the power of the resurrection. He referred to how God set the Israelites free from Egypt, the bonds and there slavery, and brought them into a land flowing with milk and honey. This is exactly what God does with us, when we recognise what Jesus did for us, and repent of our sin, He sets us free from the world, addictions, and things that enslave us. He gives us fresh hope and purpose. Jesus resurrection was God overcoming the power of sin and death. For those that accept the Lord, they no longer need to be held by guilt and condemnation, as Jesus has payed the price for it, all that is required is repentance to God. Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man will come to the Father but by me."
If you want to experience God's love and mercy, to be set free from sin and the things in life that entangle us, hopelessness, depression, addictions and guilt, begin to seek God, pray and ask Him for forgiveness, and to come into your life, 'I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me'. (Psalm 8:17). If you want to talk, find out more information, or need a lift to meetings, please contact us by either email [email protected]">[email protected] or telephone.
We meet every Sunday at Emmanuel Gospel Church hall, Station Road, Manorbier (just off the A4139).
