"Some people like to make things complicated, but Christianity is based on a simple truth," said Rev. Jonathan Fiddy, pastor of Emmanuel Gospel Church, Manorbier.
Jonathan explained that living the Christian life was about putting God first and trusting Him to supply everything you need, whatever the circumstances. He quoted Romans 8:28, where it says that "in all things God works for good to those who love him and are called according to his purpose."
Jackie joined the music group, her clear vocals and rhythmic tambourine enhancing the assortment of powerful praise songs.
Debbie told everyone how she had become a Christian, having previously thought that the way to get to heaven was to be as good as possible. She was shocked when her friend told her she was likely to be hell-bound! She then described how her life changed when she "gave her life to the Lord" and how she has experienced miracles as she started trusting in his plan for her life.
This was followed by a brief testimony from James.
Emmanuel meets every Sunday at 10.15 am. All are welcome at the hall, which is just off the Tenby to Pembroke road, near the garden centre at Manorbier.
