Amroth dippers are looking to be 'all shook up' when they celebrate the turn of the year at the village's annual New Year's Day Swim.
For the 27th Amroth Swim, participants are asked to don their best Elvis jump suits as the Amroth Arms' Dippers will be going for a world record attempt for the largest number of Elvis Presley lookalikes to enter a swim of this kind.
Fiona Castle, wife of the late 'Record Breakers' host Roy Castle, will be on hand to send the swimmers into the sea, and as it's a world record attempt, for verification, the event will be filmed, with the BBC also covering the day's proceedings.
Thousands and thousands of pounds have been raised for charities and good causes over the years since the event was established and the 2009 swim will be in aid of the charity, Babes in Arms.
Sponsorship forms to take part in the swim are available from Roger Harries at the Amroth Arms.
The fun begins with the run into the sea at 12 noon and doesn't end there as the Amroth Arms will have a DJ in the pub afterwards to play Elvis tracks right the way through the New Year's Day celebrations.
