Pembrokeshire schoolgirl Elly Neville, who has raised over £205,000 for Withybush Hospital in the past four years, was a guest of honour at a reception in County Hall, Haverfordwest, recently.

Nine-year-old Elly’s Ward 10 Appeal began when she raffled a collage of the Pembrokeshire flag to support the upgrade of facilities for cancer patients being treated at the hospital.

With the support of her parents, Ann and Lyn of Pembroke, the fundraising went from strength to strength.

In recognition of her achievement, Elly and her family were guests at a reception hosted by County Council Chairman, Councillor Dr Simon Hancock.

“The £205,000 Elly has raised for those less fortunate than herself is simply astonishing” said the Chairman. “She is an inspiration.”
