The staff and Governing Body of Ysgol Dyffryn Taf in Whitland have warmly congratulated all students receiving their GCSE, WBQ, BTEC and other course results today.

Headteacher, Mr A Owen remarked: “Results day marks an important milestone for our young people, and we are extremely proud of the hard work, commitment and determination demonstrated by our students throughout their time at Dyffryn Taf.

“We recognise that every young person has their own journey, aspirations and circumstances, and today we celebrate their individual achievements and the progress they have made.

“We look forward to welcoming those students who are continuing their education with us in our vibrant Sixth Form, and we wish every success to those who are moving on to further education, apprenticeships, employment or other pathways.

“At Dyffryn Taf, we believe that every pupil's achievement matters. We therefore want today's focus to be on celebrating the achievements of individual young people rather than reducing the success of a year group to a single set of headline figures.

Among the many individual successes achieved today, the school is particularly pleased to highlight the following:

● Joshua Williams-Davies achieved 7 A* grades, 3 A grades and a Distinction in Additional Maths.

● Martha Humphries achieved 6 A* grades, 4 A grades, a B grade and a Distinction in Additional Maths.

● Alex Edwards achieved 7 A* grades, 3 A grades and a B grade.

● Lydia Jones achieved 8 A* grades, 2 A grades and a B grade.

● Nia Lewis achieved 5 A* grades and 5 A grades.

● Charlie Peacock-Howell achieved 7 A* grades, 2 A grades, 2 B grades and a Distinction in Additional Maths.

● Tristan Shepard achieved 5 A* grades, 3 A grades and 2 B grades.

● Bea Ireland achieved 3 A* grades, 6 A grades, 2 B grades and a Pass in Additional Maths.

● Isaac Gale achieved 5 A* grades, 2 A grades and a C grade.

A further number of students achieved five or more A–A grades*, including - Jayden Thomas, Hazel Pettifer, Lily Morris, Morgan Hammond, Miro Evans, Sophie Bowen, Ben Barton and Phillip Allen.
